Hallvarsson & Halvarsson offers the best in strategic communications consulting as well as a full and comprehensive range of service productions in both print and online formats - such as annual reports and corporate websites. Due to our high involvement in corporate online media, including consultancy and the production of business websites, some critics have questioned the impartiality of the Webranking toward H&H clients - implying that this provides an advantage.
We believe it is fair to say that to most companies, H&H Webranking has become the established, impartial international Yardstick for website performance. We take great pride in this reputation, making every effort to the objectivity of the Webranking, by being completely open and transparent about ourselves and our methodology. We are clear about our impartiality toward the companies included in the ranking and our separation and independence from the consultancy business conducted by H&H.
The ranking
To enable a fair review it is important that every website is ranked in the same manner subject to the same standards. The respondee stakeholder's answers to the questionnaire are the only input used to defining the individual review criteria. Respondents’ answers and opinions directly shape and weight and the criteria in the protocol - giving criteria, deemed more important by stakeholders, a greater relative impact. It’s the views and demands of the respondents (analysts, investors and journalists) that determine how and which criteria are used in the protocol, not ours. Every website is reviewed twice with the same protocol by two different consultants to minimise the chance of errors or the misapplication of the protocol. The ranking of all corporate websites is conducted in the exact same way; there is no bias or preferential treatment of companies who purchase the report. If an unaffiliated everyday internet user were to conduct an equally detailed and comprehensive ranking with our protocol, they would get an identical result.
H&H Webranking Criteria
All the criteria are, of course, a trade secret unknown to anyone outside of the H&H Webranking team. H&H clients must purchase a Webranking report to benefit from its insights and suggestions, just like any other company. Those that do purchase a report will notice detailed summaries of all the criteria in addition to many best practice examples, these will allow them to rapidly improve their websites by efficiently targeting areas where improvement will have the greatest impact.
Hallvarsson & Halvarsson has many committed teams that working on website related projects for several different client companies. These teams have no privaledged or greater access to Webranking data than any outside web-consultancy team. If their client company wishes to take advantage of H&H Webranking's guidance or insights they must purchase a report to make its information available to their H&H web-consultancy team. In other words, it is not part of our business idea to give away reports.
Under no circumstances are future protocols available to clients, or even our own web consultants, as this would bestow an unfair advantage defeating the whole purpose of Webranking. Only the H&H Webranking team conducting the rankings have access to the current protocol, while future criterion remain a mystery to be shaped by the needs and demands of surveyed stakeholders. A summary of the protocol becomes accessible to companies who purchase Webranking reports when all rankings have been completed AND the results are published.
Who are our clients?
The praxis in our business is not to disclose the identity of our clients, but in this case we are willing to make an exception. We have chosen to highlight H&H clients who not only annually purchase Webranking reports but also employ H&H under continuous consultancy commissions related to their corporate websites. This clearly demonstrates that we do not spotlight companies that only buy the Webranking reports or where our involvement with them is not considerable. Nor do we name our clients to whom we deliver services other than web. We normally do not disclose details of our clients who only utilise our expertise in writing annual reports, media consultancy or crisis management. The selected clients are from the period of the last 12 months.
