Monday, November 20, 2006

Today Corriere della Sera publishes the results of the Italian edition of H&H Webranking. Telecom Italia grabs the top position with 84.25 points, followed by Edison and UniCredit.

Today Corriere della Sera publishes the H&H Webranking results for Italy’s 83 largest companies. The winner, Telecom Italia, was number four last year. Going from fourth to first place may not seem that remarkable, but in the process they increased their score by 25.5 points,  up from 58.75 to 84.25.

Telecom Italia is followed by Edison on 78 points and UniCredit on 76.25 points. The Italian average score is 39.9 points. Ten of the 83 companies are also included on the European list.

“The very positive trend in Italy in providing more comprehensive financial disclosure has been confirmed also this year. The top 10 companies in Italy have website that stand up against the best in Europe”, explains Joakim Lundquist, who headed the Italian survey.

The Italian 2006 Webranking awards will be held this afternoon at 4pm at Corriere della Sera in Milan. Guest speakers include the Italian stock exchange, Reuters and Hallvarsson & Halvarsson.

H&H Webranking is Europe’s leading survey of corporate websites. It has been conducted annually since 1997 in Sweden and on a European level since 2001. Each year approximately 500 websites are reviewed. Results are published in financial newspapers around Europe.
