Telekom Austria, Wienerberger, and Erste Bank have the best corporate websites in Austria.

Austrian websites are improving but still trail behind their European counterparts in terms of financial and corporate disclosure in English. The results in online Corporate Governance and CSR remain weak.

Milan, 23 june - Webranking 2006 Austria Top47 shows Telekom Austria defending its top position from last year with the Austrian corporate website that best meets the information requirements of international financial markets, scoring an impressive 67 points out of a maximum 100 points. The Building materials company Wienerberger finished a close second with 63.75 points, followed by Erste Bank with 58.75 points.

Austria Top47 is the second consecutive Austrian Webranking survey and the results were published in collaboration with the Austrian daily Wirtschaftsblatt on 23 June 2006. The research aims to monitor the standards of online financial communications in Austria.

The ranking reveals many new developments. CA Immobilien, Betandwin, and Immoeast Immobilien Anlagen are the websites that have improved the most compared with 2005. The best performing company out of the 23 new entries this year is Austrian Airlines, which entered at 7th place, followed by Brain Force and Christ Water, 14th and 16th respectively.
