According to the article in Real IR, the UK performance excels in the CSR criteria. Among the countries ranked in the H&H Webranking, UK has the highest percentage of companies that performs well in the CSR section. One reason for this might be that FTSE4good has done an excellent job promoting CSR in the UK and that the discussion about CSR has been more intense than in other countries.
An example of good CSR info can be found at the website of UK runner up, British American Tobacco. The company has received maximum score in the CSR section and has the highest score of all European beverages and tobacco companies.
The UK scores well in accessibility criteria as well, i.e. criteria that make websites easy to use even if you have a disability. Many of these criteria are covered by law in the UK and as a consequence, UK sites simple to navigate and to read for everyone.
