It’s apparent that they aim high and wants to educate visitors about their business“, says Marcus Eriksson, Head of H&H Webranking.
Fortum, recevied 79.75 points (out of a possible 100). Last year’s winner, the refining and marketing company, Neste Oil with 77.25 points takes the second position and the diesel and natural gas company Wärtsilä with 74.25 round off the top three.
Finland best in online communication
Finland is the highest scoring country in the survey this year with an average score on 53.5, distinctly higher than Germany who takes second place with 49.91. The survey shows that Finland, as a country, once again has taken the lead in online communication in Europe. Especially strong results for Finnish companies are awarded in the sections covering Financial Information and Corporate Governance.
It is mainly in areas such as, the Calendar and Contact details where Finnish companies have room for improvement. Many of the Finish companies could also improve their website structure, such as navigation and typography, but also more technical aspects, such as web standards and optimize the website for search engines, such as Google.
