H&H Webranking is back with a brand new edition of Europe’s most published and respected online survey of corporate communication. Last year was an important year in the history of H&H Webranking; seeing the successful introduction of a brand new Benchmark list, the FT European 500. It was also a crucial year for the ranking as a whole, as we shifted our viewpoint towards a broader protocol, with additional criteria covering social media and search.

H&H Webranking have just published the ranking of state-owned companies, which means that we can now wrap up the 2009 edition and start focus on the new interesting year.
As announced on www.halvarsson.com, Hallvarsson & Halvarsson has opened offices in London. The London office, which will cover UK and continental Europe, will primarily focus on strategic advisory services for online corporate communication including corporate websites, global web platforms and social media for corporate communication.
Few of state-owned companies’ websites meet the capital markets demands according to this year’s survey; H&H Webranking for state-owned companies. The energy giant Vattenfall wins the rankings for the third year in a row, followed by the semi state-owned companies, TeliaSonera, Nordea and SAS. The remaining surveyed companies are falling behind, except for Sveaskog.
Since H&H Webranking has broadened its online focus, we will in these newsletters increase the number of articles covering a wider online communication perspective. In other words we will provide you more tips, ideas and Best Practice solutions outside the corporate website as well. This time we will take a look at Google and Yahoo! Finance. Google and Yahoo! Finance are both free online services that provide detailed financial information on different corporations; including stock quotes, financial reports, corporate press releases and news. These services also allow users to register and create their own specific portfolios making it easy to monitor selected stock information. Each company listed on these services is represented on its own page, displaying specific financial information as well as recent news, blog posts and events connected to the company. Logged in visitors can also participate in forum discussions in regards to any featured company.

In the beginning of 2010 H&H sent out an additional questionnaire to IR and Web Managers. The purpose of the survey was to learn more about companies’ online focus in 2010. The Questionnaire was sent out to the 800 largest companies in Europe. We asked 14 different questions ranging from website budgets to the importance of social media. We also asked if there were any specific criteria that the respondents would like us to include in the 2010 H&H Webranking survey. In total we received answers from 157 companies.
This year's Social Media Spotlight Report is the third edition focusing on the new medium, where we continue to present the latest innovations and advancements in the use of Social Media from a corporate standpoint.
